Adam founded Heavyweight seven years ago. He was at talkSPORT from its inception, creating numerous brand partnerships with blue chip clients. He subsequently led the award-winning sponsorship teams at Emap and talkSPORT, before going on to establish Heavyweight.
Adam loves nothing more than creating campaigns that defy modern sponsorship and media norms, and that entertain the masses, create conversation and get results.
A distinctly average tennis player and an enthusiastic footballer, Adam can be found slogging round north London parks most weekends, dreaming up new Heavyweight campaigns and wondering whether Manchester City will win the league again.
After several years working closely with Heavyweight as a client Darren finally saw the light and came on board with us in 2014.
After some years learning the ropes of Brand PR at two of the UK’s Top Ten PR Agencies Darren exercised his sports knowledge to lead on Paddy Power’s UK PR from their entry into the market in 2001 through to that heady summer of 2012, working across the famous stunts, media sponsorships and campaigns with which they made their name.
Following some time advising former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis the allure of sports related PR proved too much and Darren has now bought his expertise back to the sports arena with us here at Heavyweight.
An avid fan of all sports and sports media by nature Darren can increasingly be found joining the lycra brigade pedaling the hills of Surrey as he tries to get his head round Southampton’s latest league position.
Gordon ‘Flash’ Watson
In a career that spanned 18 years, Gordon played top-flight football for a variety of Premiership clubs. A Roy of the Rovers-style swashbuckling centre forward, ‘Flash’ had the honour of partnering Alan Shearer up front for England U21′s.
Gordon has been promoted from every division and, in doing so, has developed a forensic knowledge of the game and has fostered many friendships and contacts in the sporting world. As well as being part of Heavyweight’s line-up, he also works as a pundit across various media platforms.
As yet, Gordon is yet to make his debut for Heavyweight’s five-a-side team, but he regularly offers his wise words of advice.
Craig has over 20 years’ experience working within the design and marketing world. He has a proven track record of creating successful brand and marketing campaigns that have cut through the normal and the mundane.
He brings market insight, wit and creative excellence to every project he’s involved in. Unfortunately he is also a West Brom fan…well you can’t have it all, can you?
